Reopening: Wednesday, January 13th.

REOPENING: WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 13TH.

Gov. Inslee announced, “Healthy Washington”, a new phased approach to opening. There are 4 metrics that regions (no longer county by county), must hit to move in to Phase 2. The DOH will let us know each Friday what phase we will be in for the coming Monday. They announced late last night that NO regions met the requirements, and all regions remain in Phase 1.

Phase 1 has even more restrictive guidelines than when we were open in November. Here are the details…

1 PERSON PER 500 SQ/FT

RESERVATIONS REQUIRED. We will be adding the conditioning room and gyms to our reservation system. We will post once that system goes live on Monday, January 11th.

45 MINUTE MAX SESSIONS. Reservations will start on the hour. We do not feel that this is enough time, and it will be difficult to manage. That said, this is a guideline we must follow. The Washington Fitness Alliance is currently lobbying the Governor’s office to extend this to at least an hour.

Couple other things to note…

We are planning to begin group fitness classes back up the following week. We will post more details here and, on our site, next week.

Lap swim will be open with the same restrictions as before: reservations required, one person per lane, 45-minute time slots.

Once again, we are asking for your patience. These new restrictions are hard on everyone. We are hopeful to move quickly into Phase 2. Thank you all for your continued support during this increasingly difficult time.

See you next week!
